This project involved the comprehensive renovation and extension of an existing residential dwelling to create a modern, purpose-built eight-bedroom supported living facility. The redesign significantly improved the home’s functionality by introducing additional bedrooms, accessible bathrooms, dedicated staff and medication areas, expanded communal living spaces, and improved circulation throughout the building.

A large open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area forms the heart of the home, with raking ceilings and high-level glazing maximising natural light and creating a bright, welcoming environment. The extensive outdoor deck further strengthens the connection between indoor and outdoor living while providing additional communal space for residents.

The design balances practicality with a warm residential aesthetic through the use of durable, low-maintenance materials, generous circulation spaces, and carefully considered layouts that support accessibility and day-to-day living. The project successfully transformed the existing home into a comfortable, functional, and future-focused environment tailored to the needs of its residents.
