An extremely enjoyable project where a surprise addition led to a couple of variations to the initial brief, variations that everyone involved happily embraced.
For a couple who love entertaining, we moved the kitchen to maximise the views over the stunning Otago Harbour and opened it up to the living and dining spaces, creating the perfect environment for hosting and for family.
Along with the revised layout, we insulated and relined the entire house, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for all. Energy costs have been reduced and every corner of the house is now livable and inviting.
Standout features for me are the kitchen and the Japanese bath which is perfect for smaller spaces. The existing sunroom, which runs the length of the north elevation, remained effectively untouched because it was an outstanding original feature although we did add a couple of new light fixtures.
